Orders
 

Orders can be placed through the website via our secure shopping cart.  You can also place orders by phone at 800-819-7988 (8:30 to 5 central time, M thru F).   Ordering through the website is most convenient for all concerned, but if you have product or fit questions, we recommend you give us a call.  One of our staff will be glad to help.  Orders placed through the shopping cart will each be personally acknowledged via email.  The acknowledgment will include the total, when we expect to ship and the approximate travel time and we'll also address any concerns you may have raised when ordering.  Orders are shipped each day and we fill orders the same day they are received (those orders that reach us by 2:00 p.m., central).

By Credit Card:  Customers in the United States (including territories and APO/FPO) and Canada can pay by major credit card. 

Our credit card fraud prevention guidelines are: 

  • We can only ship to a customer's billing address or a verifiable work address (work phone number required for verification).
  • We can ship to alternate acceptable shipping addresses on file with the card holder's bank (bank telephone number required).
  • Canadian customers:  We'll need your bank's phone number when ordering since automated address verification is not available in Canada, and we can only accept orders where we are shipping to the billing address of the credit card (no alternate shipping addresses).
By Paypal:  Use the shopping cart to select the products you want.  And when you checkout, choose the "Pay by Paypal" option.  Sorry, but we only accept PayPal payments from US customers with a "verified" address.  If you send money to us other than through the normal shopping cart method, you can address payments to:

By Money Order:  Use the shopping cart to select the products you want.  And when you checkout, choose the "Pay by Money Order" option. 
 

Exchanges
Returns

Exchanges and returns are sometimes necessary with mail order shopping--even under the best of circumstances.  At RockyMoto we try to make the process as easy and inexpensive as possible for our customers.  We pride ourselves on maintaining a large inventory to facilitate return/exchange requests and so there is typically no delay in getting your replacement merchandise out to you.  We do not charge restocking fees (except for special orders and eBay orders, see below).   We do charge a "large refund service fee" for refund amounts over $400.

Exchanges for Credit Card Buyers:

  • If an exchange or return becomes necessary, please let us know within 15 days of the ship date of your purchase (same date as on your receipt. Please make sure the merchandise is as new, with all packaging and tags. Original boxes should be shipped within another box.
     
  • Exchange orders can be placed through the shopping cart:
  • Choose the items you'd like for us to ship to you using the shopping cart (just as you would if you were placing a new order)
  • At checkout, choose the "Exchange Orders" option to complete your request.
  • Your requested exchange order goes out right away. 
  • Only shipping is charged for exchanges (no other fees are charged). 

Refunds for Credit Card Buyers:

  • If a return for refund is necessary, please let us know within 15 days of the ship date of your purchase (same date as on your receipt).
  • Go here:  Returns Online Anytime to advise us of your return. 
  • Items ordered from our website do not carry any restocking fees.
  • A large refund service fee is deducted from refund requests over $400.  The fee is 5% of the amount over $400.  This fee will be deducted from the final credit to the credit card.
  • Products purchased with a store credit (from trades) are refunded as a store credit.

Refunds and Exchanges for Money Order Buyers:  The terms are the same as for credit card buyers, but the procedure is slightly different.  Go to:   Exchanges/Returns (for money order buyers) to make arrangements.

Warranty

 

Rocky Moto is an authorized dealer for all the new products displayed on our website.  Warranty procedures vary by manufacturer, but generally speaking, brand new items with defects "out of the box" are replaced by Rocky Moto at no expense to the consumer.  For used items, customers are asked to return their defective product to either our office or the manufacturer (depending on the brand).  We handle procedural issues and we'll cover return shipping on the repaired or replacement item.

We do not offer a warranty beyond the normal 15 day return privilege on any used Items.
 

Special
Orders
and
eBay
Orders

We are able to place special orders with our suppliers for items that are not shown on our website pages.   We sometimes negotiate special terms for customers with special needs, but here are the usual terms:

Special order of "standard" catalog items (items, sizes, colors not shown on our website): All terms, same as above except, 20% restocking fee ($20 minimum) for exchange or return for any reason.

eBay orders:  Special terms apply to items sold on eBay which are specified for each auction (see auction details).

Policy

Motorcycle gear is a seasonal business and products are often put on sale by our suppliers with no notice.  Those pricing changes allow us to pass along savings to our customers.  Unfortunately, there are customers who may have recently bought a product only to see a price reduction.  We like to "play fair", so we offer the following price protection policy:

If you bought an item anytime 30 days prior to a markdown, we will give you credit for the difference in price toward the purchase of anything we sell.  Exception:   Sometimes distributors will give us special pricing on off-beat colors and/or odd-ball size groups; or we may discount the last few items of a run, so we can't provide price protection on previously purchased items unless the newly discounted product on our pages is the exact same type, size and color as the previously purchased item. 

To receive the credit, call our offices within 30 days of your purchase and we'll issue the appropriate store credit to be used with your next purchase.
